The set

Five raptors make up the Birds of Prey issue: the northern goshawk (Accipiter gentilis), peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus), golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), osprey (Pandion haliaetus) and northern harrier (Circus cyaneus). This stamp is the osprey.

Illustrator Robert Giusti painted each portrait from photographic reference. Howard E. Paine designed the stamps.
