La Poste ships to the United States directly, which makes France easy. Japan Post is harder and may mean a vetted reseller. Whoever you buy from, cross-check the face value against the current international letter rate for that country rather than trusting the seller's description.

For countries where you cannot obtain stamps, drop the paper reply and use a QR code card instead.
The traditionalist objection is real but the numbers answer it: the probability of a physical reply arriving from Rio within 21 days is around 64%. A web form is 99.9%. Tradition is worth defending where it works, and this is not one of those places.
Getting the invitation out there
Outbound international mail needs the Global Forever stamp at $1.65. Plenty of couples dislike the single-design look of it.
The alternative is to build the value from several stamps. One suite used two surplus Flag stamps at $0.73 face — bought at $0.62 each — plus a vintage 20-cent stamp, for $1.66 total face value.
